Commercial and industrial area concept for the State of Brandenburg

Throughout Germany, there is an increasing demand for commercial and industrial land - and Brandenburg is no exception. In order to be able to offer investors areas ready for construction in the future, the Economic Development Agency Brandenburg (WFBB) has developed the "Commercial and Industrial Area Concept for the State of Brandenburg" on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Energy of the State of Brandenburg (MWAE).

  • „Brandenburg has developed into an internationally sought-after investment location. To keep it that way, the prerequisite are competitive commercial areas - ‘gold dust’ throughout Germany. We have a particular need for large, contiguous areas for modern industries. The commercial space concept provides Brandenburg with a precise overview of the space potential for the coming years. This is a decisive advantage in the competition between locations.“

Sustainable development

The commercial and industrial area concept lays the basis for sustainable development throughout the State of Brandenburg:

  • Commercial and industrial areas should be developed or planned precisely where they best meet quantitative and qualitative demand.
  • Environmental and sustainability aspects will increasingly come into focus in the future.
