Innovations for the aviation of tomorrow
Historically, Brandenburg has been the cradle of German aviation. Today, together with Berlin, Brandenburg is one of the top aviation technology locations in Germany. Rolls-Royce, MTU Maintenance, Lufthansa-Technik – global players call Brandenburg their home.
Center of excellence
The region is a centre of excellence for aircraft engines, lightweight aircraft construction and civil unmanned aviation systems. Together with the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus, Rolls-Royce and other partners are developing low-emission, hybrid-electric systems for the aviation of tomorrow.
The capital region is home to around 130 companies in the industry, which employ over 17,000 people.
