More than 200 companies from the automotive and supplier industry in the capital region deliver components and complete parts just-in-sequence and directly to the original equipment manufacturers’ assembly lines. So it’s not surprising that a piece of Brandenburg can be found in almost every vehicle.
Innovative and flexible
The industry impresses with its innovative strength, flexibility and high quality.
Together with Berlin, the industry employs around 21,000 people in Brandenburg - and in the next few years the number will still increase.
Champions League of the European mobility region
Tesla’s decision to locate its European Gigafactory IV in Grünheide (Mark) has catapulted Brandenburg into the Champions League of European mobility regions. And Tesla is not alone in setting big goals: BASF will produce cathode materials for e-mobility batteries at its Brandenburg site in future. Control technology is also full of dynamism: with the DEKRA Test Centre for Autonomous Driving, the largest test centre of its kind in Europe is being built in Brandenburg.
