The commercial landscape is shaped by companies such as Mercedes-Benz, MTU, Rolls-Royce and ThyssenKrupp Umformtechnik, Luckenwalde Biotechnology Park, the Freight Village Berlin South (GVZ) in Grossbeeren, Schönhagen Airport, Baruth Wood Competence Centre and other industrial estates and business parks.
Teltow-Fläming is today one of the most important aerospace industry locations in Germany and occupies top positions in biotechnology, vehicle construction and wood processing. At the same time, Teltow-Fläming offers a high quality of life and recreational value. In the south of the district, Flaeming-Skate has developed into Europe’s number one skating region with a total length of 220 kilometres.
