Frankfurt (Oder) has 60,000 inhabitants and is the easternmost university town in Germany. This independent town is particularly important as an interface between Germany and Poland. The Oder Bridge leads directly into the centre of its Polish twin town Słubice.
Its location on the European transport route E30 (A12) with two junctions, well-developed industrial real estate at favourable conditions, and a well-qualified workforce all contribute to the location’s attractiveness. Together with the town of Eisenhüttenstadt, Frankfurt forms a centre for regional growth. The Terminal – a transhipment station for combined road and rail transport in the urban freight terminal – provides an attractive option for container transportation.
