Walking directly from an international airport to a modern exhibition centre: every trade fair participant’s dream comes true in the German Capital Region. On the western edge of Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), the new ExpoCenter Airport acts like a magnet for event organisers.
Messe Berlin and Economic Development Agency Brandenburg (WFBB) co-developed this multifunctional, 250,000-square-metre venue as a complement to the established Berlin exhibition centre in the heart of the city and especially as a venue for the ILA Berlin Air Show. With 1,243 exhibitors from forty-six countries, ILA 2012 set a new record. By hosting this leading international trade fair in the aerospace sector, ExpoCenter Airport made a successful debut.
However, the proximity to the BER airport is not the only asset of the new trade fair grounds: the motorway and a railway station are right on the doorstep, which means downtown Berlin and Potsdam can be reached in around twenty minutes, while the emergent economic regions in Eastern Europe are less than an hour’s drive away.
ExpoCenter Airport is located at the heart of the Airport Region and is thus a new economic powerhouse for the German Capital Region. The WFBB and its Berlin counterpart, Berlin Partner, offer investors thirty-four industrial parks with excellent value for money within a thirty-minute’s drive of the new BER airport.
